| We deal with disputes between individuals and/or companies or other bodies. We deal with both commercial litigation (which includes property, building and business disputes including partnership and shareholder disputes) and consumer litigation which includes consumer and general contract disputes, neighbour and boundary disputes and landlord and tenant problems.
We also handle debt collection work and enforcement procedures following debt recovery including winding up and bankruptcy, attachment of earnings and garnishee orders.
In respect of consumer litigation, this is a varied category of work. It is always expensive for an individual to become involved in Court proceedings and one of our aims is to try and achieve the quickest way in the most cost efficient manner. Sometimes this can be achieved by correspondence alone.
Should Court proceedings become necessary we are experienced in dealing with all issues in the Court system.
You may become involved in what is known as the Small Claims Court. This is not actually a separate Court but rather a procedure for dealing with certain smaller claims in the County Court and is currently in use for claims of less than £5,000 or £1,000 in personal injury cases.
